LANDMARKS UPDATE
On Tuesday, May 15, the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the City of New York granted a Certificate of Appropriateness for our proposal to repair the pillars of the church towers.  The vote was unanimous.  This means that work can get underway.  This will be a long and costly project.  Pray for its successful conclusion and, of course, give to the Towers Restoration Campaign.

TOWERS RESTORATION CAMPAIGN
The Towers Restoration Campaign was announced at Masses Easter weekend, April 7-8, to call attention to needed repairs to the 24 limestone-clad pillars atop the church towers and to begin fundraising efforts for this. The goal of the campaign is $2 million.  Read the Towers Restoration booklet here and find out how you can help.

THE SAINT JEAN BAPTISTE SPRING FILM FESTIVAL
Saint Jean's is pleased to present three films about individuals who are confronted with critical decisions of faith at significant points in life and history.  Each ultimately has to face the question, "What do I believe?"  Monday, May 7: A Man for All Seasons; Monday, May 14, The Ninth Day; Monday, May 21, The Way.  All are shown at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Center.  Read the event flier here.

Music at Saint Jean Baptiste

The most important aspect of the music ministry at the Church of Saint Jean Baptiste is its focus on the celebration of the liturgy.  In the Eucharistic celebration, we strive to sing as one voice with the assistance of choirs, cantors, organist, and instrumentalists.

In addition, the Music Under the Dome series features concerts of choral, organ, and instrumental programs. Visit Music Under the Dome to preview upcoming events.
